Any government minister saying wind and solar power are cheap is “lying” – simple as that, says Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“You hear anyone say that renewables are cheap and I want you to remember these three facts,” Ms Credlin said.

“First, there’s the equipment needed to supply it, the solar panels and the big wind turbines, almost all of them made in China – so jobs and a profit in China, but not here. “Second, once you generate renewable power you’ve got to connect it to the grid, meaning billions and billions of dollars in transmission lines – even though the connections will only be needed 30 per cent of the time, because that’s about as often as renewables work.

“And third, this need for firming up … renewables power, because the sun doesn’t always shine and the wind doesn’t always blow.”

Sky news you are the same as you American counterparts lying about everything what a disgraceful bunch of people you are

No she is lying

Its a question of buying poweer by the hour and its possible on windy sunny day to buy it cheaper than gas for 1hr which holds for the evening when it can chareg what it likes. Utter confusion among the moronic public on Mw/kg from fuel and economics.

lol Peta Credlin. You know no one takes her seriously, yeah? She’s like the AI version of a journalist.

Tony Abbot CofS claims to be expert on lying.

And Credlin's qualifications as a renewable power analyst are impeccable. More propaganda from Scum news.

And Credlin knows….everything!! What a laughing stock she is! Good that nobody watches the trash!

Everyone please listen to what Solar Engineer Peta has to say….she’s the one in the middle next to the Hamburglar.

Great Ruperting from Peta “I love Tony’s “Credlin

PETA and the bullshit of the day from sky news

Points 1 and 2 can be said about fossil fuel generators. The point 3 argument has been laughed at enough that I'm surprised people still try to use that argument.

Credlin admitted to lying about carbon taxes for years after her Liberal gov was turfed out.

Well if anyone’s an expert on lying it’s the former Chief of Staff to Tony Abbott 🙄

A habitual liar doesn't know their a liar. Just like a mad person doesn't know they're mad. Sky 'news' contributors tick all the boxes.

LaborLies

Australia's foremost transgender political analist

And it doesn’t always rain but we build dams.

Well they just said in the senate that the estimate is atleast 500 billion to hit 80% target. Doesn't sound cheap to me.

Anyone saying the destruction of the planet is not a bad thing is nuts... Skynews

The market resoundingly disagrees with Credlin.

And you believe what she says? God spare me

1. The 1 GW MacIntyre wind farm uses Nordex turbines, like many others not Chinese. Plenty of jobs in installation phase. 2. On a 200+ TWh pa grid, 20 billion for transmission is peanuts (5 $/MWh over 20 years) 3. Firming 100% NEM with PHES about 100 billion; lasts 'forever'

Cause she’s now an expert……🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

the GRID rewire is in need of investigation

I'm happy I've got solar on my roof.

Wrong again. In fact, ad an example the energy payback for large scale wind turbine is as little as 3 months. After that it is a net producer of energy. A coal or gas fired power station 2 years, however it will need expensive fuel for its lifetime and is a polluter.

Credlin 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'll never argue with peta 'morticia' credlin when it comes to the question of lying. She is one of the experts in that field of endeavour

Peta is still disillusioned after the last Victorian election

I don't know about the rest of you but I am sick to death of Credlin's BS and hate has not Murdoch media done enough damage already it's time to stop them

A government minister lying, surely you jest

Yep, fossil fuel power stations also need expensive infrastructure, including dams and roads. Yep Fossil fuel power stations need to be connected to the grid. and ONE MORE THING Fossil fuel mined or fracked and transported to the station for the life of the station.

Was she banging abbott.thats what I heard.

Self-confessed liar sez wot?

No power is cheap as the former prime minister of Australia she should know that. Remind me again how many $$$$$$$$$ in subsidies we pay for fossil fuel power stations…

Peta in her cosplay

Just plain wrong.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Says the admitted liar

Oh. Well that’s that then.

Love how the greenies don't care about animal habitats being destroyed & swathes of forest cleared for wind farms. Watch Dr Pamela Jones an Environmental Scientist who used to be a member of Greenpeace. ://youtu.be/Fct1XunA4_Q

Peta Credlin and lying 🤥 🍷

Does Credlin care to tell us the truth about the cost of building a new coal fired power station? I know what today's cost would be, and also know the time from approval to commissioning would be about 7 years. Her statement is baseless without comparative facts.

Cheap but harvesting means are expensive.

Sky News + Credlin = Bullshit!

And we all believe Peta...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Peta Credlin for PM

So pretty they are bird wildlife shredding turbines .

Yep - take Denmark as an example 74% of its power is renewables yet it has the most expensive power in the world. Numbers speak for themselves.

Stick to reporting on wooden steps Peta. Still your best work. Teehee

Wow! There's no misogyny like Leftist misogyny.

Say the woman who has a standing segment to retract lies.

Says Pitiful incredulous

This from the woman who lied about the ETS being a ‘carbon tax’.

Peta has an opinion on everything but seems to be an expert in nothing.

PETA Credlin would know as she is an expert in everything and truth is not one of her strengths.

Yep

‘Huge news’: Report concludes COVID-19 ‘likely arose from a lab leak’There has been 'huge news' with a classified intelligence report handed to the White House saying the US Energy Department has concluded COVID-19 “likely arose from a lab leak”, says Sky News host Sharri Markson. “We already knew that three workers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalised with COVID-like symptoms around October or November 2019,' she said. “My sources tell me the new part is that those scientists were working directly with bat coronaviruses.' Ms Markson said in May 2020 a US laboratory which the Energy Department oversees prepared a “bombshell classified report” making the case COVID-19 may have originated in a Wuhan lab as a result of “synthetic and serial passage gain-of-function biological research”, but this was dismissed at the time. “What's new now is that the officials at the top of the Department of Energy have come to the same conclusion as the experts working for them did nearly three years ago. “There are now two US intelligence agencies that say a lab leak is the most likely cause of the pandemic.” But TheRealPBarry said Sharri doesn't know what she is talking about. 😂 The 'Energy Department' is now the one investigating Covid19? Huh? 😳

Censoring books ‘robs people’ of the opportunity to ‘have open discussions’Broadcaster and writer Esther Krakue says 'contentious bits' in books are points of discussion and make them 'come alive', with James Bond books now being rewritten to remove racist language. “It's really worrying because if you actually start censoring these books and start taking out bits and hiring sensitivity readers … you rob people of the opportunity to have open discussions about them,” Ms Krakue told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “If there are contentious bits in a book, that’s a good thing because that’s a point of discussion, that’s what makes these books come alive. “But we’re clearly in an era where there is … an economy for sensitive readers.” Does it REALLY count as 'censorship' if the Ian Fleming Publications, the people who OWN the books, are just releasing new versions of the books? I mean, no one is taking away the books from the people who own them. I don't see it as a big deal at all.

‘Narcissistic’ to think someone has the ‘right to not be offended’Broadcaster and writer Esther Krakue says it's “completely narcissistic” for anyone to think they “have the right to not be offended” when reading a book. This comes as James Bond books are now being rewritten to remove racist language. They have a right not to be offended just because someone else wants to compel them to be. That sounds the more narcissistic to me, compelling someone to think want you command them to Good point.

‘Neopronouns are endless’: TikTok user explains ‘spore pronouns’You can now have “spore pronouns” as regular pronouns are “a bit boring”, says Sky News host Rita Panahi. In a video a TikTok user says people can use spore pronouns if they have already tried using “he/ze/it pronouns” or if they feel a strong relationship with nature. “Now you’ve got neopronouns, and they’re endless,” Ms Panahi said. So apparently what one rando on TikTok does is news? Each day another special person appears that makes my head spin. WTF?

‘Class war’ argument on super could ‘backfire’ and lead to negative consequencesThe Australian Commentator Chris Mitchell says running a “class war” argument with superannuation can lead to negative consequences and “backfire”. “I think one of the potential backfires is that the money moves into other tax shelters, and we simply lose the money to super,” Mr Mitchell told Sky News host Sharri Mackson. And won’t those woke, virtue signalling rich folk who voted Labor, Greens or steal now be regretting it. Go woke, go broke. Oh thats a new slant on it. “I think one of the potential backfires is that the money moves into other tax shelters, and we simply lose the money to super,” Well, we need more 'conversations' on plugging those holes too. This last one was a complete disaster for the Murdoch's. Without the working class the Wealthy wouldn't exist.💯

Children’s books ‘don’t have to be re-written’: Joe HildebrandSky News Contributor Joe Hildebrand says children's books don’t have to be re-written. Mr Hildebrand’s remarks come after reports emerged suggesting several of Roald Dahl's titles published by Puffin were being amended to remove outdated and offensive language. “Imagine if you went back through history and actually edited everything you found so it met today’s standards?” he told Sky News host Sharri Markson. “I mean Julius Caesar, he committed genocide … so we wouldn’t have any of that.” Sleepy Joe awoke from his 2-week coma to discover somebody called Ronald Dahl was talked about a bit. But all Joe could do was to sit! sit! sit! and he did not like it. not one little bit. The End If you don’t like them m don’t read them . SharriMarkson NO books should be 're-written'! We are living in a '1984' woke nightmare.
