Just one day after Israel Folau said he would not appeal the Code of Conduct decision against him that saw his contract terminated, Latu has been stood down by his Super Rugby club until a court appearance for alleged drink driving.
The Daily Telegraph reported that Latu is alleged to have been found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle, asleep and recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.135 last Thursday, just under three times the legal limit.“I’m disappointed with my actions, because I recognise the seriousness of this situation,” Latu said.
