The former men's world number one says it's understandable if unvaccinated players are subject to 'different' rules at the season-opening major in Melbourne.

Andy Murray expects unvaccinated players to compete at the Australian Open, but says he would support moves to impose stricter conditions on them at Melbourne Park than those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

But vaccinated players are expected to be given more freedom to move around and may also be able to bypass Australia's mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival. "You might just have to leave a few weeks earlier than everyone else. That's the player's choice. If the local government puts that in place then I would support that."Australia in particular has been very, very strict over there. The public there have had to endure a painful 18 months or whatever.

"I don't want to be in the middle of something which I kind of am not involved in, because I don't have that issue of the two-week quarantine … I don't want to go against anybody here."Australia's top-ranked male player, Alex de Minaur, reached the fourth round in Indian Wells.De Minaur will play second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16.

Australians share concerns about working with unvaccinated colleaguesA new study has found a rising number of Australians are concerned about working alongside their unvaccinated colleagues, while a high percentage of those quizzed threw their support behind vaccine mandates in their workplace. 🐃 💩🐃💩🐃💩🐃💩🐃💩 Why are they so scared if working age, with about 0.1% chance serious illness/death and only 10-20% of catching the virus? I can't believe that these ppl want others to lose their jobs, can't they just keep working from home? If COVID has taught us anything is that the old saying 'This can only be done in the Office' is totally obsolete now.

Most Australians support a net zero target via renewables, Australia Institute revealsAs the federal Coalition negotiates a climate policy ahead of the Glasgow COP26 summit, a new report says the majority of Australians support a target to achieve net zero. If only ScottMorrisonMP & Barnaby_Joyce did too. Wishful thinking. 🙁😠 Pretty sure we keep saying that; then electing the Libs again and again. 3/4's of 2,500 polled by a progressive think tank is not 3/4's of Australians.
