Premier Daniel Andrews is only trying to “dig in and protect his job” as hundreds of Victorians have died from the coronavirus, with millions still locked down, according to state Opposition Leader Michael O’Brien. Counsel assisting the COVID-19 Hotel Quarantine Inquiry said on Monday the bungling of the hotel quarantine facilities led to all of Victoria’s 768 second wave deaths.

“Incompetent to allow the second wave to occur through hotel quarantine, but then incompetent to keep us in the second wave through bungled contact tracing,” Mr O’Brien told Sky News. “It’s been a disaster from pillar to post”. The inquiry heard evidence from Health Minister Jenny Mikakos on Wednesday, who after the premier fronted the inquiry and laid the blame on her feet, resigned on Saturday.

DanielAndrewsMP michaelobrienmp Andrews will end up in Jail after the inevitable Royal Commission instead of the pathetic Quarantine Inquiry white wash. He'll face 25 years jail for manslaughter under his own Worksafe legislation. Poetic justice.

macsween_prue DanielAndrewsMP michaelobrienmp Now you accept that COVIDー19 is deadly and dangerous aye? Only because it's DanielAndrews f-cked up? You really are a propaganda machine, shame on you for playing with the deaths of hundreds!

DanielAndrewsMP michaelobrienmp In one sentence? How many tries did he need? I think everyone aware there may be civil actions pending that may commence in relation to deaths caused by the disease, Covid-19. I understand such is occurring in USA regards negligence claims for some deaths from the disease.

DanielAndrewsMP michaelobrienmp Not just his job...HQ has massive smell of corruption about it. The fact Pakula still has a job means he must have something pretty big to hold over the 'boss'
