People who are caught breaching quarantine can be issued a court attendance notice which can carry a maximum penalty of $11,000 fine and up to six months’ jail time. “The actions police have taken so far indicate how serious we are in the fight to ensure the safety of the people of New South Wales,” Commissioner Fuller said.
