Full-time grey nomad Lisa Mora drove with her caravan from Queensland to Melbourne in June to visit her son and take advantage of eased restrictions. By the time she got there things had changed in Victoria.

As Lisa Mora drove south with her caravan towards Victoria in June, she realised the only other caravans on the road were heading in the opposite direction.Lisa Mora decided to visit her son in Melbourne after some restrictions were eased in JuneShe is now stuck in Victoria but said she is happy to be there

She said isolation was "a challenge for me, just not having a hug, you know, simple things like that, that you take for granted". "The place was empty," she said. "I didn't realise in the few days that I'd been on the road driving all day and exhausted at night, things have really developed really quickly … to the point where I was now entering into what was then a local government-declared hotspot.Lisa Mora says her caravan was the only one she saw heading south on the Newell Highway.
