Accused Russell Lea murderer Benjamin Scott Art allegedly used meat cleaver and sword to attack housemate Annette Kiss, police claim
Police confirmed on Friday Mr Art, 42 ,was charged with murder after the body of Ms Kiss was found at a home on Clements Street in Russell Lea about 11am on Thursday. According to a document of allegations written by police which details claims about the events leading up to the incident, the accused ran inside “holding a sword in one hand, and in the other two knives”.It is alleged Mr Art yelled and showed Ms Kiss texts from an unknown sender on his phone, before grabbing her by her neck and assaulting her with the meat cleaver.Police also allege they discovered Mr Art lying on top of Ms Kiss armed with a dark coloured sword when they arrived on the scene.
