'A great gentleman': Trump praises Morrison at rally in Ohio | CroweDM

US President Donald Trump has praised the "fantastic" alliance between the US and Australia while joining Prime Minister Scott Morrison at a factory in Ohio to talk up investment and jobs.

"He recently won an election in Australia - it was supposed to be close but he blew them away," Mr Trump said as he stood on stage with Mr Morrison.Mr Trump drew yells of support from the crowd as he promised more jobs in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, as the crowd chanted "made in the USA".The President thanked Mr Morrison for his friendship and support and called him a "great leader".

Mr Morrison joked about the best way to pronounce Wapakoneta and drew laughter and cheers from the crowd when he told them of Australian place names including Wagga Wagga, Warnambook and Woolloomoolloo.
