Christmas Island resident Philip Tubb feared the detention centre did not have the facilities to cope with hundreds of people being quarantined.

The Aussie Gov are evacuating Australian citizens that have paid their taxes etc. Christmas island is supposed to be an asylum seeking processing centre. The evacuated people are expected to spend a minimum of 14 days there if not more. Note that the British, Amercian and Japanese governments are bringing all their citizens directly home to quaratine without putting them on an island.

All countries should have a default quarantine location in place, for situations like this, that is applied, each and every single time. This is common sense. It allows, the people, to exit the area, but quarantined & assisted, before back into the gen pop, as it should be!
