billand0823 Yeah He’s wrong Wow !! What an ultra maroon Latter day Luddite Every day I see more .. and more On the road He doesn’t get out much.. right ?

Caleb Bond, What a silly silly man

What with? Monopoly money? Shove your lithium powered EVs up up your bidet flushed a**holes! How is lithium mining sustainable?

Yes TheCalebBond why would Australians - already owners of the world's highest per capita solar panels - possibly be interested in cheaper-to-run, clean & more-fun-to-drive electric cars It's a mystery!

Would Caleb Bond know, he does work for skynews after all?

So the people that own an EV only bought them because there were no other options?

I suppose we should just go back to the time before we had electricity in our homes too. We could go back to using combustion stoves and oil lamps. Who needs progress.

It should read “No one in Australia CAN buy an electric vehicle”. Waiting lists are 12mths+ long, taxation making them too expensive, manufacturers bypassing Aust market for countries that have a govt investing in infrastructure to support electric vehicles.

Absolute bullshit. Demand hugely outstrips supply. The wait list for Teslas is months.

Hey Caleb 🤡🤡🤡

No one wants to buy a house in Australia

Caleb is a tool and shouldn't disturb any reader's world. He's young, foolish and opiniated - a silly combination.

Caleb doesn't need a car. Maybe a unicycle for a circus clown.

My son has an EV and it is amazing! The take off power is push back in your seat incredible. Gets re-charged twice a week. I would buy an EV in heartbeat but alas I am a pensioner so will not happen.

Electrical vehicles? Oh you are too funny.

When progress no longer suits billionaires we get the voice of earnalism

No one in Australia (in their right mind) wants to watch Sky 'News'

bill_dobell Can't bloody afford one ! Only the rich can buy one $40,000+ is the cheapest add another $20,000+ for 30 solar panels, battery and a charging port ! Then in 10 yrs,you have to replace the lithium and cobalt battery,$13,000-19,000 for a replacement! They forget about the poor 🤬

Complete rubbish!

It’d be my opinion that Caleb is a twit.

'says Sky News Host' .. . . 'Caleb Bond' . . . awww you have all the farcical funnies going today.

Um waitlist is 18mths 😂

Mainstream 'news' just seems to be clickbait and attention seeking, not going to bother.

No one wants to hear from little Caleb Bond either, but here we are

I’m no one

Just like No one wanted Morrison to lose I s'pose No one wanted an Honest to Goodness Transparent Enthusiastic Intelligent Team AustralianLabor to WIN Neither. Just as well someone knows you're a liar

Does Frodo - sorry, I meant Caleb - have his Ls yet? Or is he still riding a skateboard to 'work'?

🤔Stop sniffing fumes What Manufacturer will have Petrol or Diesel Available?🤷‍♂️ If he's so informed please do tell. As Manufacturer have Informed us that They are Stopping Production, so what options does he know of? Just Commentators No Investigative Journalism🤦‍♂️

What a Turkey!🤦‍♂️Wake the 🤬Up! We have No Choice. We Don't Manufacturer Vehicles, we Import & Fact is Manufacturers Won't be Selling Petrol or Diesel Vehicles. Like it or Not. It's Happening! Australia has No Choice. It's not even viable to try to reset AU Vehicle Manufacturing.

That must be why it's impossible to get hold of any. SkyLie.

What a BS statement. They are very much to the front of many peoples mind. Anybody who thinks differently has their head in the sand

I want an EV and will as soon as the prices drop a bit and supply becomes more available

But I have been seeing a lot of Teslas, Konas, Nissan Leafs, Taycans, Ioniqs, etc. Are you telling me that people are leasing them instead?

Poor Caleb. He’s living in la la land.

So the car industry wants to manufacture and sell them but Sky News says no-one wants to buy them? How long has Sky News been in the car business?

Sky news is so bad it makes CNN look like the BBC in comparison.

Same miserable Caleb Bond who couldn't even get his gf a sandwich? Pffft

We are so behind the rest of the world with electric cars. Because of conservative out of touch views from Murdoch and the LNP.

Oh really, Caleb? I don’t recall you asking me, because I want an EV as soon as I can possibly afford one. MurdochGutterMedia MurdochRoyalCommission

Best thing I've done. So good.

It doesn’t matter what “we” want. The fact of the matter is that no ICE vehicles will be produced after 2035, maybe sooner. Getting RHD EVs will be even more problematic … since Australia no longer produces its own “fit for purpose” vehicles.

I do

The exact opposite to this headline is actually the truth. You really should be barred from broadcasting anything, anywhere.

Funny that, stats say otherwise, stick to the truth.

Some of the claims made in here by naysayers make them think some of them only recently came over to accepting the world's isn't flat...

Plugin hybrids are great if you need to do long distances

Then who is buying them Paul Murray Jnr?

WE do want EVs but we have to pay a luxury tax on them at the moment, and wait up to a year for delivery. Caleb can drive is sports car and pretend he is really 007 but let him pay for the carbon it emits as a 'luxury'.

We see you Caleb ...

Caleb Bond demonstrates that Caleb Bond has no fucking idea what he's talking about.

Sky News... where truth comes to die. FakeNews ThisIsNotJournalism MurdochGutterMedia auspol

.harryc2017 here is an ordinary example of lies from Murdoch Media.

And we say Caleb Bond is yet another SkyNewsAus

Caleb would be correct for the majority of Australia. How many Australians by cheap second hand vehicle to commute to work to reduce registration, fuel and insurance costs and service themselves. Why would they want to purchase a $60k+ vehicle that they can't maintain themselves.

Can Caleb please get those Australians on the record so we know who these 'no ones' are?

Sometimes, when sleeping🎵on the job🎵I’m just🎵talking🎵to the sun🎵💧

Sky News) Stop those nasty left wing people giving us facts and science !! it is most upsetting !! We are allergic to evidence !!

Sky News) It isnt fair - people are trying to save the planet and make it habitable !!

I do

Na fuck wit.👍

Drive down suburban street around Melbourne and thousands of cars parked on them overnight, do they run an extension cord from the house to charge them🤔

Crap

I can prove that false with one tweet. I WANT ONE. Oh and like, all those people driving Teslas around. So yeah, not “no one”.

Obviously Mr Caleb Bond is completely unaware of the fact that you can drive from Hobart to Devonport without needing a recharge.

This is incorrect. The number of EVs on the road has been increasing greatly. The public charge points at supermarkets used to be easily accessible. Now they’re always being used. And the little blue triangle on numberplates is now prolific.

Poor Caleb. Asked all of his friends who would like an electric vehicle, but he has no friends, so of course he would say no one wants one 🤪🤣

Because people don't want to be forced into an inferior technology still short on benefits... Buying an EV today is like the mobile network 10-15 year's ago, poor coverage..

How does Sky News know this? I am in Australia and I definitely want to buy and electric car or a hybrid when I am replacing my present car.

So many ppl in know are waiting to find the EV to suit their life style They exist O/S but haven’t arrived here yet YET! looks like that’s about to change 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I live in the country and I will be buying one soon, especially when I integrate into my solar battery system on the house. My son just bought an EV motorcycle, loves it.

Not at $60k a pop then need a new $25k battery after 10 years.

He hasn’t spoken to me, and I do!

I certainly don’t want to buy an electric vehicle. They are toys for billionaires. I much prefer a good petroleum car.

So wake up and push hydrogen fuel cell cars

Caleb still has training wheels on his BMX ffs 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

I work at a dealership, people definitely want electric. This is straight faced lies, not that I'd expect anything from a Murdoch hack based at propaganda inc. i.e sky 'news'

Where did you get that from TheCalebBond 🤔🤥🫣 Back to reporter school for you pal…. auspol emissions climate

But the biggest problem with EVs in Australia is, supply.

Garbage. MurdochRoyalCommission

This bullshit media can keep plodding along deluding themselves, while the rest of us move forward into the future of clean energy.

None would buy an electric car- except wealthy celebrities with chauffeurs- does anyone know someone who owns one? Anyone please?

Go back to your cave, Caleb.

Lots of people want to buy because we are so slow off the mark thanks to scummo we now have to wait for supply as demand is there

There are a hell of a lot of them appearing on our roads.

I caught an electric Uber today. Electric cars are here. So…

I do

I want to buy one Caleb ... so there goes yet another of your dumb theories. 🤣🤣🤣

Arrant nonsense.

Oh well, if Caleb reckons that then, Elon Musk, wrap it up, Ford, Toyota, et al...call 'em all in, it's all over. After all, Caleb said it, on Sky so that should be enough for anyone. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

So, Caleb is wrong again then.

Well, want to buy but 1. Expensive compared to oil cars 2. Insurance is expensive too!!!!

Right… let’s see how that turns out. How did rooftop solar go?

What shit.

Not suitable to our landscape. prob great in iceland or tasmania.

That would explain the thousands of Tesla already sold. Bond is a goose.

What absolute rubbish - I'm waiting to buy one once the costs are a little lower, in fact I am holding off a purchase of a 2nd car to wait for EV cars cost to be cheaper with Labor being in gov

Because is bs, they are powered by coal.

You think that ... while Australia is actively switching to EV. Corporations like Ventia ... you should read what they are doing. Oh, and the ADF ... read on Yep. - useless at everything.

MurdochGutterMedia ThisisNotJournalism

EVs currently run only because of fossil fuel generated power. EVs are far too expensive. Until I can charge up an EV as quickly as I can fill my tank you can forget it. My personal safety will not be compromised. auspol

Why does a news channel so frequently broadcast fiction?

You lost me at 'says blah blah blah Caleb Bond' ThisIsNotJournalism boycottmurdoch MurdochfreeAustralia CancelFoxtel

I do!

Wrong. I want one but so far, the options in this country are too limited. Also apartment garages should have metered power-points to accomodate electric charging.

FFS, I was right.

You’re really embarrassing yourselves now.

Little does he know many of us already have. ThisisNotJournalism

Caleb is still too young to drive

No one in Australia has any interest in hearing from Caleb Bond on any topic.

“Nokia will bounce back. Nobody in Australia wants to buy a smartphone” 🤦‍♂️

The anti-green lies continue.

We all will be riding a horse and cart soon, is that a bad thing?

Shut up sky news, you liberal clowns

If 'no one wants' an EV, why is there a waiting list of at least 6 months? There is more demand than supply. Why TheCalebBond are you against freedom of choice and the market?

Neety55 My preference is to wait until EV utes like the Ford Lightning are readily available in Oz and affordable. My concern is that Bowen will do whatever he can to tilt the playing field.

Well the thing is theses car batterys need lithium to build them we don't have a big stock pile of lithium we will have a big shortage of lithium to make those batterys in 2025 to run these electric cars big problems a head do your home work albo

That's next level bullshit, even for 's Gaslit Destruction Division

I've wanted to buy one for the last 10 years. As soon as there is a good range of moderately priced models (like Europe), I will. LNP have kept AU in the dark ages re EVs.

I do!

Clearly Caleb Bond has his head up his a...

This tweet is going to age very very badly

Yeah it’s human nature to not want to own the newest, flashiest, most exciting technologies.

Neety55 Oups .... who wants a car that : - take 40 min to recharge - can't travel interstate - can't travel 2 far - cost 70,000 $ + - you get track everywhere - batteries build by exploitation - cost a fortune 2 repair And more . ..

Not until we have reliable Nuclear power sources

I don't really want to buy any car but if I had to, it would be a EV

I do

And those that do can't afford them. EV's are only accessible to the well off.

They are out of the price range for ordinary Australians

Choices for EVs at recharge station, $2/zap coal fired power, $1.80/zap renewables, $1.90/zap combo-coal/renewable, $2.50/zap nuclear ?

Who is this strange person?

Nope no one, and mines due in Nov and can’t wait

Who the hell can afford one Bowen is dreaming, he's going to stuff this up just like everything else he's in charge of. The country is screwed

EV battery fails 7-10 years so what happens then, currently replacement costs more than vehicle value so used car market not viable ? Is EV recharge using cold powered electricity green ?

I ❤️ my EV. Had it for 2 1/2 years now. And I especially ❤️ charging it off my solar panels.

So sayeth the voice of youth

More like ex-Australian billionaires with investments in fossil fuels like Rupert Murdoch don’t want EVs

If was allowed to drive I'd convert a FORD CORTINA 1964 to electric.

Is Caleb still playing with his matchbox cars.

No one in Australia wants to hear Sly Views host Caleb Bond’s opinions

The market dictates what direction car manufacturers will head. Every major manufacturer has EV release dates within the next 2 years. Ford, GM, VW, Hyundai etc. The list goes on. Caleb obviously invested in fossil fuels and is a little bitter.

Yet again, little Caleb proves how out of touch he is.

I do.

Is Caleb James’s half whit second cousin twice removed?

Wrong again. You can’t buy one because we’ve become the dumping ground for petrol vehicles they can’t sell overseas.

Very true.

Doing traffic control I see quite a few already on the road And I'm aware how much less it costs to run them

Garbage headline from .The top selling vehicle for August will be electric,we have record demand. Again try standing behind a ice car with the engine running. You will not last a minute. Norways air quality has improved by 50%.Asthma and respiratory issues all down.

I would love a mini electric vehicle like Toyota Japan one but not too expensive. Budget: 5-10K — is it more like electric scooter budget 🤔

So its a 40 degree day in Perth, everyone leaves work at the same time, jumps in the EV car drives home plugs in to recharge , then everyone hits the Air conditioning button what will happen to the Power grid? without building new Generators? Ironically GAS powered..

I do!!

Sounds like we don't live in a democratic country sounds like we have no choice

Who gives a toss what the lightweight Murdoch arse licker Bond thinks

Caleb Bond You mean Paul Murray-lite?

Codswallop

I would never buy one ! Give me one good reason why I should ! Please tell me !

Who doesn't want a car that gives you 5km before you need to charge for 20 hours can't wait great plan great idea from loonie greens and douchebag labor

Idiot!!!

The male testosterone treatment has messed with his brain!

I sure don’t. I want to buy a frying carpet. 🥸

Sky ‘news’ host, impeccable source of misinformation

Rubbish! He should talk to Australians.

I did and I did.

I do!

Create some jobs and build some infrastructure, drop the supports for fossil fuel industries and watch this change dramatically…

that’s why there’s a long waiting list for all males & all models we suppose. that’s why people can sell second hand Teslas for more than the cost of new we suppose. that’s why people with $10k deposits on Teslas are on selling the deposits at a profit we suppose. Dr_CGJones

So Caleb Bond is a bit thick. Got it.

Caleb Bond on Sky News.

Caleb Bond and his car.

Majority of peoplelive near cities. Hundreds of EV charging stations are being created daily across Australia. Problem is cars are expensive!

What’s going to replace fuel tax?

No one in Australia wants to watch Sky News, says random Twitter user Colin Tucker.

There are 3 main things holding back take-up of EVs: charging infrastructure; price; and availability. None seem to relate to 'no one'... wants. Driving long distances just needs rapid charge points on route. I'd like to see Caleb go East to West Oz without refuelling :)

What a load of rubbish TheCalebBond ! After the climatechange driven weather bomb that hit the East Coast of Australia destroyed my car, the first thing I tried to buy was electric. Shame the LNPCorruptionParty obstruction & MurdochGutterMedia propaganda got in the way!

Perhaps people are not overly keen on sitting in a queue for half a day or more waiting to charge their battery. Surprising really. Wait till the choice offered is insects, rather than a juicy steak, then perhaps we'll see some sparks fly.

VFACTS industry sales data reports 9680 electric vehicles as sold over the first half of 2022 – 4653 of which were Tesla Model 3 sedans, with two-thirds of those sold in March alone, as supply woes bit from April onwards. Electric vehicle sales are up 127 per cent, from June2021

That can’t be right because I want to buy one. And so does my wife.

Wrong .. I’d buy one if it was affordable

I certainly do. What I don't want is to hear such a creep as Caleb Bond could be so presumptuous as to speak on my behalf.

I do.

No one? What was your survey scope. Sky News presenters on a boozy lunch?

I do.

No one in Australia wants Caleb Bond's haircut.

The love child of Alan Jones and Bernard King says what?

Typical sky commentary, 😂 so out of touch.

You're just a PR firm for fossil fuels and the mask is slipping further and further.

How would he know that NO One wants to buy 1? 1 person out of 26,000,000 has to want one for his story to be wrong and Not well researched

I would not venture out of any Metropolitan areas with an Electric vehicle. Certainly not in Country Australia.

Which is why I find it utterly mystifying to see so many electric vehicles actually on the road and learn that most manufacturers of electric vehicles have waiting lists up to a year long.

When Electric vehicles break down, have Cell Failures in the battery pack. Our breakdown and recovery services cannot fix the problems. Maybe a tow away and wait days and days for your dealer to fix it 🤔

The average daily car commute in Australia is about 32km a day. The median is 8km per day

Where do you find these people ? The uninformed informing the the uniformed.

I do

I would kill for an electric vehicle!!! They are like hens teeth to get. I wish they would start being manufactured in Australia.

The biggest barrier for most is the crappy charging infrastructure. Time to repurpose a few service stations

No one? Really So why is there a waitlist?

But have more people bought electric cars than watch Blinky Bill Bond?

'The chief executive of the Volkswagen Group in Australia, Paul Sansom, just said that one in two customers walking into the group’s 180 dealerships are asking about electric vehicles.' As stated at today's EV summit. Is Caleb Bond old enough to hold a driver's licence yet?

True for me. Let the Greenies have them but ban them from using fossil fuel generated power, only wind and solar. Let’s see how long that lasts. And don’t give taxpayer funded subsidies.

Sky 'News' the home of shouty generalised opinions

These Sky After Dark people seem to get triggered by anything innovative such EVs. It’s a weird behaviour which may relate back to some event in their childhood.

Caleb Bond everyone

Also, citation?

How Caleb Bond knows this when he has no friends is beyond me.

Hey TheCalebBond 😊

Im waiting for my current 2nd hand vehicle to meet its demise in about 5~6 yrs and Im going EV Its just a price issue now for most people The recharging & power/torque scare from the fossil fuel disciples has been proven false I suppose Caleb still watches movies on Beta tape

That’s why he’s Sky News host.

We travel long distances and EVs are useless. The notion of having charging stations in high density dwellings running on renewables is folly. How could you have enough solar on a small footprint apartment block. Oh and I can just see a Tesla at a camp site or on a boat ramp 😂

No one?! LOL get out of your festered nests dudes

He's pissed he got named Caleb. Sounds like an old testament fool.

Does Caleb say no one in Australia wants to buy a smart phone next week? Whatever you're paying him it's too much 🤭

I want a horse and buggy and wet film camera.... How do you entertain such rubbish?

Caleb what unmitigated bullshit. EV,s are evolving just like the internal combustion engine did at turn of the 19th century to replace horses. Stop the propaganda for the fossil fuel industry and protect facts.

Someone needs to take the magic markers he draws his beard on with off him. He's sniffing them way too much

Hahaha everyone wants EV’s but there’s none available

The comment should be, no one wants to spend a fortune on an electric vehicle. Car manufacturers have changed their business model to a supply on demand that allow prices to stay sky high because supply is artificially set lower. In the event of a crisis, it gets even worse.

No one in Australia wants to hear the opinion of Caleb Bond, whoever he is, says Australia.

No one in Australia wants to buy a car full stop, I can just ride my horse to the nearest steam train and get everywhere I want, cars are just SO EXPENSIVE, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

He is a tit.

Then why am I seeing all those Tesla S'es on the roads? 🤔

I might say, no one pays attention to anything sky. Doesn't mean I'm correct.

When Caleb’s old enough to drive?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yeah that headline checks out. Sales have doubled year on year. Source:

We don’t make cars here anymore so we really won’t have a choice. Car manufacturers are phasing out petrol cars so eventually EVs will be all that’s available for new car buyers.

Utter BS,

I own 4 utes, a truck and a car. My monthly fuel bill is eye watering. I can't change over to electric vehicles soon enough.

I do

Caleb once again shows Australia why he is a useless waste of space ! But then again it is on SLY . So far out of the loop he has his own . lol ICAC 4 LNP IMHO

No one who takes sky news seriously wants to buy one. There you go, I fixed it fir you.

Well that's because we're against child labour... who gets forced into the lithium mines? Children.

Really I want an electric car

What should I tell my neighbour who has a Tesla? Fuck me, Sky News is a laugh.

I’d like to see an EV go from Perth to Albany on a Thursday midday depart. Good luck!!

No one listens to Sky News or little master Bond ClimateEmergency

What utter rot.. the entire 'story' is two lines one reporters opinion..

Blatant lie, Sky News / LNP puppets. Let’s support foreign oil, the worst car emissions standards in the world and foreign owned cars! Yay for Australia!

Is moronning the verb for this ?

Caleb knows very little.

So he's spoken to the entire population or this is just another OPINION?

Poor Caleb. Caleb still thinks electric vehicles can't tow boats, Caleb doesn't realise there are a multitude of EV's on international markets which have sufficient battery capacity for the average work commute for a week on one charge. Don't be like Caleb. Caleb is a tosser.

I do

Apart from the ones already bought. Sheesh.

BS

I do. The waiting list is huge.

More people want EVs than take any notice of Caleb the Murray clone.

Caleb Bond WTF is he

No one believes anything a Sky News Host says

slsandpet Again, this license with what 'Australians' do or don't want. Well, I believe 'no-one in Australia' wants someone who doesn't know them taking it upon themselves to speak licentiously on their behalves. THIS Australian would love an EV!

he is wrong. ONce no car makers are making petrol and diesel cars (in the very near future), what does he suggest buyers do? Buses?

you people are laughable

Who?

slsandpet Bollox.

No one in Australia wants to buy an electric vehicle? funny I know quite a lot of people (in Aus) that already have one and many more looking to buy one. I thought Sky would have run out of rocks for people to crawl out from under. Does Caleb do his research on the flat earth?

Well if he says so then it must be true 😂😜

I’ve got one ordered along with thousands of other people

The IPA which takes money from Gina Rinehart will say anything to maintain her coal pits.

Is that a fact or the usual Murdoch media spin

slsandpet Doesn’t ever tire of being wrong?

slsandpet I’m assuming he’s your resident comedian?

I do. It's the future.

So just clarifying, a person who no one knows or watches said something that no one agrees with. Remind me again why Sky News Australia exists?

Except all the people who, and those who already did.

It's not about want. It's about can't afford.

I do. I'd quite like a hydrogen car too. I mean, if we had have invested in that technology 20 years ago, imagine how advanced it would be right now. We'd be a world leader with a new export industry. Instead we're a backwater. Which seems to be how Caleb likes it

Another conservative know-it-all speaking on behalf of all Australians. Didn’t work for Scott, doesn’t work for Caleb; whoever Caleb is.

I want one. So there's that.

I have a hybrid! That’s a start!

When Caleb is old enough to drive in a few years time, then he might me qualified to write about cars.

slsandpet I do

slsandpet This is a hell of a way to find out I don’t live in Australia.

Tell that to all the people on dealer's waiting lists for....electric cars!

I call BS. The one I ordered is on the way. Bring on advances in our climate and economy with progressive policies and ending the climate war that Murdoch and the RWNJs want to continue.

Caleb Bond is a veteran journalist with decades of experience.

Nope, they are not the green answer being pushed.

We need more push bikes and safe lanes for them to conquer the climate change 🤣

martinjzammit Can’t blame them. The cost alone is a joke, then charging the bloody things and you have to hope and pray you don’t need replacement batteries. 😂😂

He's right. I don't want to have to charge my frickin car every day.

I LOVE my petrol vehicle.

What a load of rubbish, yes they do. They need to be made affordable and provided with a sufficient amount of charging stations as they are throughout Europe

Imagine waiting time recharge at the far in between and limited charging stations if all Australians have an electric car. Not to mention expensive spare parts and auto electrician fees🤣

My MG EV is excellent and so many people want to talk to me about it. It is very likely most Australians will be driving an EV within the next 10-15 years.

The sky is blue, Skynews no its purple.

Caleb bond lol MurdochGutterMedia MurdochRoyalCommission

EV's are for the wealthy elites...city slickers...

That’s weird, because despite the price and lack of incentive/infrastructure I’m seeing more on the road every month.

I want to order another one, but the soonest I can get one is Feb-May 2023. This is really strange when 'no one in Australia wants to buy electric vehicles'.

“We’ve funnelled donations and influence from big business the LNP for a decade to make Australia the dumping ground for cheap, dirty, fuel heavy vehicles and now no one wants an electric vehicle. Amazing isn’t it!” IPA is a disgrace auspol

To make a statement, already contradicted by the facts, is a bit stupid. To publish it, without doing a reality check, is moronic. The demand for EVs in Australia is outstripping supply and will only increase as price drops. They just have too many advantages over petrol cars.

I'm an Australian and I want an electric vehicle. Especially now that petrol prices are so high and the price is so volatile. Sky news hosts live on an entirely different plane of existence.

Ah the Skynews grand know all who knows nothing

where did that factoid come from?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

EV’s are ok for regular city drivers but Australia is a huge country and we tend to drive long distances and tow boats and caravans. Not one person would happily sit at a charging station for 30min to 1 hr on a trip to charge up. We need hybrid/ Hydrogen powered cars.

That’s a lie! Everyone I know including my myself want an electric vehicle

No one in Australia wants to listen to the irrelevant muttering of Sky News parasite Caleb Bond. Lol

Clearly he doesn't get out much or know much (isn't he supposed to be a journalist or something). We are buying one, daughter has one, friends just bought one. As models are released across the price ranges people are buying them.

😂

What a foolish statement. Did he do a survey to find out?

Actually I just have

I do

TheCalebBond “A lot of people want to drive long distances” ... exactly how many is 'a lot'? Aust. is one of the most urbanised countries in the world. EV semis are already exist... a Tesla.

Xbox boy says so…

Revive Holden! Turn them into a factory that builds electric cars.

pfffft

Who is she? Never heard of her!

No one in Australia believes a fucking word printed by Sky.

No one in Australia wants to buy Bonds BS. The reason EV take up is so low is the previous government’s dinosaur approach to almost everything.

Says a young foggy who collects fountain pens.

What is wrong with you?

bs caleb id love to own one its the price that prevents me from doing so.

Sure, tell your viewers not to buy EV's and then explain the resale value of the gas guzzler they buy instead. Great economic advice?

50cc scooters for everyone 😂 cheap and fun 🛵

I'd love to buy an electric vehicle.

Caleb obviously limit his research pool. Perhaps just to nj canavan.

Caleb who

Imagine having an electric car and not paying $2 per litre Ev’s have good range Issue is Morrison’s and his ministry of Morrison’s would not provide certainty in the energy market for renewables and infrastructure! As more people buy, economy of scale kicks in!

It’s because of a decade of the arse-wipe climate science denying government you have supported that Australia lags massively on incentives and therefore EV take up Fucking deplorable is the MurdochGutterMedia

Most people do want to buy electric cars, but they are too expensive. By the end of the decade new EVs will be cheaper that ICE cars. By mid next decade there will be no new ICE vehicles to buy as the car manufactures have already stopped designing new ICE models.

You're kidding aren't you? I cant wait to buy a Ducati MotoE !

No one in Australia wants to hear from Caleb Bond.

What a load of BS

I DEFINITELY want to buy one

Sky obviously happy with their nutters to write trash!

More lies from Sky. More traitors to the nation, doing nothing but stirring up trouble, so their foreign billionaire boss gets a few more clicks/sales/ads. Spineless and disgusting.

'No one' is a big call. Just another example of a fact free environment. A better headline. 'LNP's Lack of a Car Policy Makes EV's Hard to Obtain'.

The coal powered cave dwellers and their daily bad takes.

20665 'no ones' bought an electric vehicle in Australia last year.

Not in Rupert’s interest ?

Yep ok Caleb 🤡

Because a hipster working for Sky news knows what people think? 😂😂😂😂😂

Also why would you purchase an electric vehicle at twice the price, whilst they still produce carbon emissions from the heat generated by the electric motors, not climate change efficient at all.

hahaha you're a joke

Breaking: Caleb Bond is now a comedian.

Why would you want to purchase, electric vehicles, if they were produced with a rechargeable system, they would be viable, as they are electric, no registration would be required. As there would be no electric motors excise.

Why are they selling them then? 🙄

I do. I would buy one right now but I spent all my money on petrol. The street's hard on a hoe right now. Would love a Nissan Leaf though.

No one in Australia watches Sky News, according to everyone 0.003%

This is we don’t advertise on anything connected to SkyNews. It’s not even News.

So that's why the Australian Oil Company, Ampol, is installing EV fast chargers at their outlets? Nobody will use them, sounds like a clever business plan. What a pillock.

He’s still driving his Fred Flintstone car. What a goose. Car manufacturers will only be making electric cars soon.

Good girl TheCalebBond

Every single person will be driving an electric vehicle by 2030! Unless Australia start making ICE vehicles and discover Oil to cater for themselves.

No I want a coal fired car driven by my chauffeur Matt the coal miner with his made up face.

So the same geniuses who tell us that EVs don’t have enough range, take too long to charge & will ruin the weekend etc. are the same geniuses who tell us that we can address CC by reducing carbon with technology that hasn’t been invented yet!

Yes we do. Most of us live in cities or in that thin strip along the coast. We'd all love cheap electcric cars. One of the many reasons to hate the LNP is their refusal to support EVs and their lies about their practicality.

They won't show how many catch on fire.

Oh Caleb you simpleton , electric vehicles are selling well and are the future , stop embarrassing yourself

I do

Because it's a stupid idea.

I wouldn’t say that’s true. I got an ev and not only is it so unbelievably cheap, about $5-10 a month, i can charge it at home, it didn’t cost me much at all. $42k brand new

Mr Bond should read more. And Sky should at least get with the times. The world is changing folks. And it isn't flat. Not news, just noise.

Murdoch media is a foreign agency & pays no tax in Australia. Its aim is to provide simple/appealing solutions to complex issues. These always benefit Murdoch & his investments. It profits by preying on vulnerable non-critical thinkers. In effect it is a criminal enterprise.

Caleb pushing the lnp lies. When are you going to learn for yourself?

It’s another con

That’s why they have a waiting list of up to a year. Like Henry Ford said “If I had asked people what they wanted they would have asked for a faster horse”. Caleb is a goose.

Imaging thinking the Model T would replace horses - how crazy was that? The Model T only had a range of 50klms & cost over a year’s average salary. BTW Can you direct me to a Block Buster store to a rent video & I also need a floppy disk for my 386 computer!

Fake news. Manufacturing for renewables is now incredibly profitable. Australia lead the science like photovoltaics, but we haven’t taken the change seriously so US, European and Chinese companies are making billions from our technology. We like our horse and cart.

OH look a dribbling hack talking shite on SKY....who knew? The silly FW must have been busy talking to everyone in Aus getting their opinions.

They’re not practical for apartment dwellers, apartment building car parks don’t have chargers.

ABC RN this morning interviewed some hand-picked but unknown EV guru asking why Oz uptake of EV's was so low & slow. The unsurprising response? Bcos makers were bypassing Oz! The typically limp interviewer left it at that. Shame on ABC - we don't buy bcos they don't perform.

It’s great how people forget that in Australia we don’t build cars anymore. And so when the world moves on to ev cars we have no option but to follow. There will be no petrol powered cars to buy. What will we drive may as well build the infrastructure now we will need it.

Poor little Caleb desperate for a little attention, bottom of the barrel stuff.

This week drove from Emerald to charters towers over 400km of bush no a place for EV, even fuel tank has to be full before leaving. EV the expensive city car.

What crap “New electric vehicle sales triple in Australia with Tesla outstripping other makers”

Data to surport that statement if not its a worthless statement

2/100 new cars are electric

And they won't

Naebody in UK wants Nigel_Farage YOU CAN KEEP HIM

Because they are toys for the rich paid for by the poor and run on coal anyway. Only a pretentious w⚓️would pay overs for a vehicle that during production emits 8 years worth of a petrol car’s emissions.

Yes they do

Only those that have never tried once

Wonderful toy for the wealthy but completely impractical if you need to go somewhere spontaneously

Clearly Caleb Bond is a dolt.

Bcs no one know nothing about elec cars.

Electric vehicles too expensive. You have to be a rich woker, like a teal, to afford them.

The powers that be are shoving bird killing windmills and solar at a faster rate than the rest of the world. Why aren't they putting CO2 scrubbers on coal pants to remove most CO2, answer is bribes. Rush, rush, spend, spend

TheABD Hardly surprising, given the distances: you would need to tow a generator with a substantial fuel tank ...

Only an inner city dweller would even consider it.

I'll vote for anyone... who brings media reform

really?!? it looks like it's a log graph! what are you on about?! we need new media, current sht doesn't do it's job

i never will 👍

screw EV

Electric vehicles made up less than 1% of all car sales in 2021. They’re a flop.

Labor ‘pearl-clutching’ on Morrison controversy makes them ‘look like an opposition’Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume says the “pearl-clutching” around the controversy of former prime minister Scott Morrison’s secret ministerial swearings has “made the current government look like an opposition”. “They have loved the opportunity to talk about the previous government, rather than talking about the issues that are important to Australians today,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia. “Now it’s time to focus back on those important issues of rising costs of living, rising inflation, the need for increased productivity in our economy.” Complicit 'journalists' won't publish any details of 'Christian values' Morrison's extra marital affairs, I think Jane's doing the clutching. Did she ever have a relationship with Morrison? Proper saddos the lot of em 🖕
