NSW and the Commonwealth have thrown $330 million to ensure the Murray-Darling Basin Plan is met on time and 'in a way that doesn't impact irrigators'.

When that request was denied at a meeting of water ministers in April, NSW water minister Melinda Pavey said her state would rescope two key projects – at Yanco and Menindee Lakes. "Done right these projects can contribute to keeping 605 gigalitres of water in productive use, benefit the environment and deliver healthy rivers we all rely on," Ms Pavey said.$62m for Wentworth locks and infrastructure along Carrs, Cappits and Bunburoo Creeks$31m to help restore and improve water flows through Koondrook–Perricoota Forest

Pity about the environment. Barnaby has ruined a national resource

I’m sure the funds will be put to good use and that all expenditure will be vigorously evaluated for compliance and value on the return for investment. Or, it could be squandered with no transparency on funding. An audit of government spending would make for interesting reading.

Just another waste. No amount of money will save or improve the area.

Our poor ABC, sadly reduced to pouring out Tory propaganda day after day.

“But it was not yet clear how the accelerated projects would work, nor how the water savings have been accounted.”

Nationals' demands for supporting net zero finalised, but will remain confidentialPrime Minister Scott Morrison and Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce will meet privately to work out an agreement within the Coalition over what will be required for the Nationals to back a net zero climate change policy. Lemme guess, privatise everything, sell off everyone's land to mining industries, and crown Murdoch as Emperor of Australia? Failing that, ScoMo has to lick Barnaby's feet every day? I'd expect nothing less than either option from that scum. They forget who their working for💯 It would be nice for taxpayers to know how they are being ripped off! Mandatory jab for 1 million WA workers evokes both serious concern and broad supportA WA government decision to mandate the COVID-19 vaccination for 75 per cent of the state's workforce draws a mixed response from unions and employers. Unfortunately it seems necessary. I would like to see the same in Queensland. The covid-injections are a crime against humanity, according to scientific evidence: see Drs4CovidEthics DoctorsandScie1 Covid19Critical RWMaloneMD America's Frontline Doctors AAPSonline GVDBossche ChildrensHD etc. It's a tricky argument, unvaccinated by 'choice' believe it's only affecting them, just don't think about the unvaccinated that 'can't' due to medical conditions. It's not black and white when it comes down to the unvaccinated position.
