President Cyril Ramaphosa says the handover of the second part of the report of the Commission of Inquiry is another significant step forward in the work government needs to do to rid South Africa of corruption. StateCaptureReport

Chairperson of the State Capture Commission Raymond Zondo during one of the hearings in JohannesburgDirector-General in the Presidency Phindile Baleni received the report on behalf of the President from the Secretary of the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture, Professor Itumeleng Mosala.Chairperson of the Commission and the Acting Chief Justice, Raymond Zondo, personally handed over the report to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The third and final part is set to be submitted by the end of this month. “As required by a ruling of the Gauteng High Court on 28 December 2021, the President will submit the Commission report to Parliament by 30 June 2022 with an indication of his intentions with regards to the implementation of the Commission’s recommendations. “
