The Zimbabwean government has launched an online registration platform to ensure a smooth transition for citizens who will be returning home once South African exemption permits expire in June.

Zimbabwe's Ambassador to South Africa David Hamadziripi says they are not sure how many would like to return.

However, the South African government will ultimately decide who is permitted to enter and remain within South Africa.Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Exemption Permit holders have welcomed their government's decision to assist citizens to return home. This comes amid uncertainty after the South African government announced that permits would not be renewed.Watch the video above for more details on this story.

I'm not sure if any of them will willingly agree to go back. Go back to what exactly? The economy there in Zim is still a mess, isn't it?

What an exciting prospect for all those Zimbabwean citizens to return to that failed state. Although in fairness we are reaching the point where there ain’t much to choose between there and here.
