Gram for gram, the coffee you buy in capsules for your single-serving machine is ridiculously more expensive.

Although the detractors' voices are often the loudest, defenders are still talking with their credit cards. And coffee companies continue to make millions of pods each year, which they sell at higher prices per gram than their more traditional coffee.

That coffee capsules and pods present a significant environmental issue is not news. And connoisseurs will probably also tell you that the end product.
