Young adults receive more grants than general adult population: study

A higher proportion of young people between 18 and 24 are receiving grants than the population as a whole according to a Khayabus study that Ipsos undertook.

However, the opinions expressed by young people and adult South Africans were almost on a par on opinions about politics, political parties, and elections in SA.

It was the same with the statement that “there is no political party in the country expressing my view”, where 37% of the 19 -24 age group agreed with the statement and 36% of all adult South Africans concurred. The market research company said it showed the phenomenon that has developed over the last number of years that voters became more and more disillusioned in political parties and politicians.

The ANC government has created a country depending on government for everything without creating conducive environment for businesses to thrive so as to create more employment opportunities for the youth and young adults instead they had to depend on grants

Grants without skills like growing own food, preserving food that you grow and building things is just supporting dominant economies that the poor do not participate in. These programs support sellers and owners of businesses, a government subsidy for business.
