In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei closed 2% lower. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined by half a percent, mainland China’s Shanghai Composite index lost 1%, while India’s SENSEX is 0.4% down at the close of trade.The All Share index has added 0.2% to 57 780, the Industrial 25 index is 0.2% down, the Top 10 Resources index has gained 0.6 % and the gold mining index is 3.2 % higher.Markets in Europe are lower at this hour.
Britain’s FTSE 100 has shed 0.4%, the CAC 40 in France is 0.6% down and Germany’s DAX has declined by 0.8%. Looking at commodities, gold is trading at 1421 dollars and platinum at 848 dollars per ounce. The price of Brent crude oil is 63.73 dollars a barrel.
