As winter approaches and the days get shorter, Table Mountain National Park announces that the access timetable in certain areas of the park has been adjusted to accommodate the coming season.As per TMNP, here are the winter operating hours:‘Take a ride with the Flying Dutchman funicular and enjoy the panoramic views to see the old lighthouse. Wine and dine at the Two Oceans restaurant while enjoying the scenic views above False Bay at the southwestern tip of Africa,’ says TMNP.
‘Uncover the history of the Cape of Good Hope, while exploring the interactive audio-visual exhibition that delves into Early Sapiens Behaviour situated at the Buffelsfontein Visitor Centre!’TMNP added that Cape Point gate operates on a cash-free basis, so be sure to bring along your debit or credit cards.‘Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a unique and endangered land-based colony of African Penguins,’ says TMNP.

Find car listings‘It’s braai season at Silvermine since the fire season has drawn to a close,’ says TMNP. ‘Freestanding braais are not permitted at the picnic site, and we encourage visitors to make use of the existing braai facilities.’
TMNP also urged parkgoers to exercise caution when swimming in the dam as there are no lifeguards on duty.While the beach area remains open daily, TMNP explained: ‘From 1 June to 30 September, the picnic site is only open on weekends’.Open weekends – 8am to 5pmWhile the forest area remains open daily, the Newlands picnic site will be closed from 1 June to 30 September.
