Wimpy and Steers owner Famous Brands says it is looking capitalise on the boycott of Western brands in the Middle East and grow its market share.

Replying to questions during its full-year results presentation on Monday, CEO Darren Hele said the group, which also owns brands such as Mugg & Bean and Debonairs Pizza, among others,"absolutely" believes there are opportunities. He was responding to a specific analyst question as Western brands, such as McDonalds and US pizza chain Dominos, struggle amid anger in the region over US backing of Israel in the Gaza conflict.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
