Will ANC national executive committee adopt report red-flagging Mantashe, Mabuza ahead of May 8 polls?

Two sources in the NEC told News24 it was unlikely the report would be adopted. This despite two weeks of reassurance by the ANC's top brass that the findings will be binding. Another source in the NEC said he found it curious that party secretary general, Ace Magashule, has not made it to the list, especially in light of recent revelations of alleged corruption and state capture during his time as Free State premier.

Mashamba refused to confirm if Mabuza and Mantashe were red-flagged, only saying if there was an outcry:"It is the NEC's responsibility to look into it."News24 understands the commission has been summoned to Luthuli House on Monday to answer for its findings. Mashamba denied this saying there was no communication by the top six for a meeting.

lizTandwa Those red-flagged by the ANC's IntegrityCommission will fight back hard, insisting that they haven't been found guilty of anything, when the Commission is acting on its mandate, by looking at issues of ethics & integrity; NOT on technical, legalistic grounds!
