There has reportedly been a major update over Pep Guardiola 's future at Manchester City following his team's FA Cup final loss to Manchester United. The news follows City's 2-1 FA Cup final defeat to local rivals United on Saturday, a result not many fans would have seen coming.
Guardiola did recently confirm he will still be in charge of the club next season, although was unclear if his long-term future remained in England. The report claims City's hierarchy would prefer the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss to commit to a new deal in Manchester, but added that they will give him space to decide.
The 53-year-old has masterminded an impressive six Premier League title wins, including four in a row, in his past seven seasons in England, while he has collected 11 other pieces of silverware too.As for his potential successor, Roberto De Zerbi, Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Girona's Michel having been linked with the job.
