South Africa Headlines News

Would you join a march against load-shedding and SA's energy crisis?

Sandile Ndlovu

SA has experienced fluctuating power outages over the past week with unprotected strikes leading to Eskom unable to fix or maintain struggling generating units. On Sunday the power utility said stage 6 load-shedding would continue into the new week. ANCYL National Youth Task Team spokesperson Sizophila Mkhize told TimesLIVE last week it would mobilise young people from across political lines to take action.

“We are not fighting factional battles. We are fighting against load-shedding. South Africans are deliberately put in the dark by incompetent leadership,” said Mkhize. Two-thirds of readers said they would take to the streets, saying SA had been in an energy crisis for more than a decade.

No, but I would march to Gwede Mantashe office, because that man is hampering alternative energy! He is a disgrace MYANC GwedeMantashe1 notmyanc

Of course

I will never walk & toy toy for anything. It's backward & befitting of low IQ beings who want to burn things down. So NO!

Don't see the point

I wouldn't _this thing of marching has become a habit energy wasting for nothing. I mean, how does Eskom administrative team failure in management be resolved by marching in roads?

👍

Anyday

The march should encourage all citizens to pay their electricity and stop izinyoka and vandalism of municipality and Eskom infrastructure

Yes I’m there

No I would March to get rid of the ANC and put all those thieves in jail. That I would.

Nop, I don't involve myself with ANC battles

No

No no no staff cANCer it won't make any difference.

NO

No

No....its all the same and I doubt if there are any ears left to listen to the plight of citizenry

Folks who voted the ANC should do that i ain't got time for shit.

Maybe it could easy if Zimbabweans left the country? There also a place in the South coast of KZN called Ifracombe, it's lit up like Las Vega during the night, Eskom should look into it.

yes

There you go again,no vision no direction. All you achieve with these marches is creating chaos and more destruction of properties, drawing away the already stretched police from dealing with crimes that has engulfed the nation.

Never, it is better for me to hustle and buy my family solar panels and a hybrid vehicle than to March for what. To March for who's benefit thou?

Yes

No. We know the power outages are deliberate on top of lack of maintenance & upkeep, mixed in with corruption. What would we be marching for?

How has marching helped, ever? All it takes is a happy meal and t-shirt to make them go away.

Noooo I wouldn't unless it's for petrol ⛽ 😏

The march should be to end the ANCs rule. The fundamental problem in the country is the ANC, you get rid of the ANC you get rid of loadshedding and almost all socioeconomic issues. Vote. Them. Out.

South Africans only March against black foreigners only I wonder why

Rupert, Ramaphosa, Trevoe Manuel and Pravin must answer for all of this

No, it’s futile. It also disrupts what little commerce we have going at the moment. The economy is dealing with losses to the effect of BILLIONS in a matter of a few days. The elected politicians need to pull finger & call for an emergency meeting with the President.

Definitely I will do so because you can't do anything while there is No Electricity..🙄🙄,So I might as well go toyi toyi..

No ways. Dnt have time to waste.

No. The failure of ESKOM, DENEL, SAA, etc is the result of corrupt political mismanagement. Any March should be directed against the ANC.

Nope...My marching days are long gone 🤔🤨🙄... Never ends positively, but mainly chaotic...and reaps little or no results

Marches do nothing

Yes and to remove Ramaphosa RamaphosaMustGo

Influencer culture in SA: Consumers demanding authenticity and honesty - expertRecent studies also reveal that a growing number of consumers say that they’re more likely to trust what influencers say about brands much more than what brands say about themselves. Influencers creat content, but most of the time they receive free products from companies to promote their brand even if it's rubbish. But some Influencers don't address that's it's an advertisement and that they're getting paid for it. That has to be regulated. ɪ'ᴍ ɴᴏ ᴇxᴘᴇʀᴛ ɪɴ ᴛʀᴀᴅɪɴɢ ʙᴜᴛ ɪ ʜᴀᴅ ɢᴏᴏᴅ ɢᴜɪᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜ mamats38 ᴀɴᴅ ʜer ᴛᴇᴀᴍ, ɪᴛ'ꜱ ʙᴇʏᴏɴᴅ ᴇʏᴇ ᴏᴘᴇɴɪɴɢ, ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇꜱᴇ ᴛᴇᴀᴄʜɪɴɢꜱ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʀᴀᴅɪɴɢ ꜱᴋɪʟʟ, I'ᴠᴇ ʜᴀᴅ ɴᴏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʙᴜᴛ ᴄᴏɴᴛɪɴᴜᴇᴅ ꜱᴜᴄᴄᴇꜱꜱ.
