The fate of Zimbabweans living in SA hangs in the balance. News24's QaanitahHunter hosts a discussion at 12:00 on Thursday, 30 June on the cost of ending the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit.

The future remains uncertain for tens of thousands of Zimbabweans whose exemption permits expire at the end of the year.

The government has discontinued the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit , which was introduced several years ago to regularise the status of Zimbabwean nationals who had migrated to South Africa after fleeing the neighbouring country's political and economic collapse in 2008. ZEP holders have until the end of the year to migrate to other permits, but some fear that the grace period is not enough time to apply for new documentation allowing them to remain in the country. QaanitahHunter Most Zimbabweans come here to work wat about the Nigerians and Chinese that only think of illegal shit and nobody says anything about them watsup

QaanitahHunter Zimbabweans are not the only ones is this country, it has happened to other Nationals and they are many permits to apply from…. It was a temporary permit and it has ended you need to apply for alternative permits….. is just being an S

QaanitahHunter During that debate please invite the rulling party in Zimbabwe to join and come and explain their plan of making Zimbabwe better for its people, when will this leaders from such countries as Zimbabwe will be hold accountable.

QaanitahHunter Lol rubbish these guys are using IDs now

QaanitahHunter Nxaa Stop with this Madness, no one is at Risk here those were Exemption Permits.Zimbabweans can still apply for Visas and work permit like any other Foreign national who would like to work in SA🥱

QaanitahHunter I don't know why this needs to be debated. Why is and HelenSuzmanFdn hell bent on these permits being made law? When are these people ever going to fix their country if they are here overextending their welcome and enjoying our resources that can be used on our citizens?

QaanitahHunter Not one person has spared a thought as to how this will even be enforced when the ANC cant even manage a spaza shop nevermind a country.

QaanitahHunter JDhafana TebogoMonama ClaysonMonyela shasha_sharon Not being a subscriber, thus unable to read the article, I can only assume the winemaker's concern is loosing cheap; exploitable labour.

QaanitahHunter JDhafana TebogoMonama ClaysonMonyela shasha_sharon Simple they must go back to Zimbabwe and fix their economy as you and others claims that they are highly educated.

QaanitahHunter JDhafana TebogoMonama ClaysonMonyela shasha_sharon It is sad, I met some awesome people, but the myanc GovernmentZA have failed to allow them to come into SA. Another disaster by the myanc NEC and cadre deployment. Charity starts at home! Mugabe caused this and PresJGZuma supported it.

Any discussion about the PhalaPhalaFarm?

QaanitahHunter Discussion where?

QaanitahHunter Has TEMPORARY found a new definition perhaps? 🤔

QaanitahHunter The topic should be why these 'Unwelcomed' people dont wanna go back home. But this Qaanitah and News24 are against the People of South Africa. Snakes in our midst. VoetsekSAMedia Zimbabweans

QaanitahHunter Cost is that south Africa will benefit.

QaanitahHunter It was a temporary exemption Permit otherwise government must stop feeling sorry to grant neibhouring countries some grace permits anymore since they will say their fate will hang in balance during the time the exemption period ends

QaanitahHunter If I join this webinar, the message won't change! ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MUST GO STARTING WITH UNGRATEFUL ZIMBABWEANS!

QaanitahHunter Nobody must partake in this dumb discussion.. Let her talk to herself

QaanitahHunter Why not invite the minister for Home Affairs too? That way you will have a balanced discussion. The permits expired last year and a 12 months grace period was given.

QaanitahHunter Wat is so important about this

QaanitahHunter There's no fate hanging in the balance here. It's either they get the proper visa or voetsek back home. Simple. No blurred lines! HomeAffairsSA PutSouthAfricansFirst WeWantOurCountryBack

Immigration-related permits: Why Motsoaledi is 'jittery' about releasing 'sensitive' report to MPs | News24Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi is 'jittery' about releasing a 'sensitive' report to MPs before the information is presented to them. The report is in relation to a task team's investigation into the home affairs department's issuance of permits. Home affairs is a ANC chop shop , OR Tambo and all other entry points are just money making tellers . I wouldn't blame illegal immigrants if they are permitted to get in by officials . South Africans are rotten with corruption . Immigrants were issued with SA smart ID at cost of R5000 and R9000 for passport
