“This a matter of survival, we dare not fail.” President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the national lockdown by another two weeks to curb new Covid-19 infections.

, saying that failing to do so would allow the pandemic to “engulf” the country and claim tens of thousands of lives.

Thanking South Africans for their co-operation and patience, Rampahosa said the Covid-19 pandemic was worsening around the world, with over 1.5-million confirmed cases. “We risk reversing the gains we have made over the past week, rendering useless the great sacrifices we have all made,” Ramaphosa said.He said that, after “careful consideration”, it had been decided to extend the lockdown by two weeks, until the end of April, with most of the lockdown measures remaining in place. The full lockdown would therefore be for five weeks.

Ramaphosa added that the government would use the next two weeks to ramp up public-health interventions.

Ramaphosa on extended lockdown: 'We did not take this decision lightly'President Cyril Ramaphosa said the decision to extend the national lockdown until the end of April was not taken lightly. He is a master of stating the obvious, flattering and selling BS. Who the hell sold him that there was a 44% rate of increase in virus infections, before lockdown? Based on what? And then use the same disfunctional health system to proclaim the rate of increase is now only 4%. No income but the following will continue. 1. Rent continues 2. Vehicle Insurance 3. Loan installments 4. Policies (Funeral, Life cover etc) 5. Eating 3 times a day 6. Medical Aid 7. Etc How are we suppose to pay for all of these things.

India to extend world's largest pandemic lockdown for two weeksTwo states -- Odisha and Punjab -- have already extended the lockdown by around two weeks, but critics say a nationwide lockdown is needed to stop people moving between states and potentially taking the virus with them. These guys always copy SA Seems like global coordination to me. They didn't cause this pandemic as some nutcases think, however, the global elites are using the crisis to herd people, literally. The only problem is power is highly addictive & permanently letting go once the crisis is over won't be easy. Copy cats
