Image:Basic education minister Angie Motshekga has responded to the ongoing public debate on the matric pass mark, dismissing claims it is 30%.
The requirements are split into three categories which qualify pupils either for bachelor’s degree or diploma studies and the higher certificate pass. For a diploma pass, pupils must obtain 40% for their home language, at least 40% in three other subjects and a minimum of 30% in the language of learning.
We already lazy and you make it worse thinking that we should put little effort in education
So are you telling us that if i pass all my subjects with 30% i can still fail matric?

But in Gr 10 and 11 learners only need 30% to progress to the next grade
Some of your here passed their Maths with lower grade. Not all learners should go to universities.
To make it all easy to your understanding,, it's based on investment whereby you're given the opportunity to make investment with a minimum amount and you get returns from a weekly trade carried out in the platform... ASK ME HOW
Thus you get 30% for each subject.... pass.
Does not matter how you say it, its pathetic that someone with a 30% in a second language and 40% in a hone language is allowed into a university. 40% in three other subjects? Thats why we have mass unemployed graduates.
