arrested a total of five suspects on two separate occasions on Sunday, 19 May for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.Members attached to Operation Restore received information regarding a shooting incident in Warwick Crescent, Eersterivier and after arriving at the address, ‘spotted four suspicious looking men’ sitting under a tree.
All four male suspects, aged between 20 and 35, were arrested on a charge of possession of a prohibited firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.In an unrelated matter, members attached to the Anti-Economical and Extortion Task Team joined forces with Crime Intelligence in the Mfuleni area and conducted stop and searches at Bosasa Temporals on Sunday.
