Residents in certain areas of Tshwane may experience a water interruption lasting up to 12 hours as the water supply system undergoes maintenance. Efforts are being made to minimize disruption to water supply.

This measure aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the water supply system in the area. Ahead of the planned shutdown, efforts will be made to fill the affected reservoirs in Tshwane , minimising any potential disruption to water supply . However, residents in certain areas of Tshwane may experience a water interruption lasting up to 12 hours, from 9:00 to 21:00.

Tshwane, too, has faced challenges, with recent efforts focused on restoring water supply to Bronkhorstspruit and its surroundings following a critical breakdown at the water treatment plant. Just yesterday, 14 March, the City reported a minor setback in its efforts to install a pump and motor at the Tshwane Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant. A glitch experienced on 13 March delayed the expected completion time. However, the service provider was expected to return to the plant yesterday morning to rectify the issue. If successful, they would commence pumping without further delay.To prevent such incidents in the future, the City is taking proactive measure
