“Individuals should not have firearms ... it will be wonderful to have a country where individuals are not issued firearms.”

“Individuals should not have firearms ... it will be wonderful to have a country where individuals are not issued firearms,” said Cele on January 17 during a site visit to Linden police station in Johannesburg.

However, there are South Africans who refuse to give up their guns. We went to City Guns in Cape Town's CBD to speak to those opposed to Cele's comments.

Currently a dream of a gun free SA is irrational and it favors criminals over law abiding citizens

Cops are giving criminals guns for money

Disarming is one of the critical steps to disenfranchise the population en route to becoming a dictatorship!

How will i defend myself against a panga wielding thug

When you disarm the criminals we will hand in our guns. Imagine, all the criminals have guns and honest law abiding systems, unable to defend themselves, will be slaughtered - imagine if farmers had no guns

U need to disarm and convict the criminals first once u succeed we will hand over our firearms voluntarily. But in south africa its not possible, if someone is caught breaking the law they by icoldrink and we r back to square one

Tighten the borders, police must start working hard before we can hand in our weapons..

Deep State paid Rhetoric

Sorry the ANC has too many criminals

Nothing dumber than suggesting that South Africans who legally own weapons return them because it would be 'nice'. Would be nice to live in a crime - free country too, but hey, reality is that without my gun, I won't be around to enjoy it.

So that criminals can walk free in the country hey🤔

they must raid all hostels across the country 4 times each tats wen I'll hand mine in

I wish I could say so

Well making a homemade firearm with a 3d printer is possible... and some other things just laying around your home...

Did he hand his gun in?

We have open borders so criminals can just import whatever weapons they wish, while we as citizens are only allowed to defend ourselves with our penises.

Good news for the criminals, this will make their job simple because they will know that no citizen is armed

First of all this amnesty is a lie they will still prosecute you if your gun has been used in a crime. So who will hand in a gun if they know it was used in a crime? This is a attempt to disarm law abiding public whos license has expired.Bullshit.

Reality is criminals have them.. The wish game doesn't work.. How do we curb the spread of illegal firearms..

🖕

At least we know what we must do first before we go here

I'm sorry I own a few guns, but I am a responsible gun owner. The problem is the peacefull majority is irrelevant. Its not the bulk of gun owners but just a few spoiling the broth..again.

I think you would been an idiot if you hand back your fire arm, its unfortunate I do t own one. I wouldn't dare!!!!! they need 1000 reasons for you to get fire arm license 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but anyways that's none of my business 🍺🍺🍺🍺

If you think criminals are going to hand in their weapons then you’re living in a dream. Firearms provide us with protection from those who wish to harm us & our families.

WATCH | EFF calls for teachers' suspensions, arrests after Enoch Mpianzi's deathThe EFF on Tuesday called for the suspension of the academic staff and school governing body members who were present during an orientation camp which claimed the life of Parktown Boys' High pupil Enoch Mpianzi. What a beautiful child, this is so sad. The EFF would never say this for the regular deaths that happen at the Transkei circumsion camps As parent I can not help but vent . Why was information withheld ? Why did the teachers relax ,even though they realized one student missing? This is very strange ....

WATCH | KZN school on fire as pupils protest about teachers“The governing body has suspended classes for today and we were able to calm the situation, with the hope that tomorrow it will be back to normal.” There has to be some sort of punishment for such. End of. Our children may be angry and by god they have every right to be...BUT...no one is doing them any favours by allowing such behaviour to go unpunished. I would make them clean the FIRE STATION...every weekend. Even with their own people in power, they are still burning down schools it's like fighting with yourself 🔥😂😱😠, this is the ignorance of the underprivileged, they protest, burn down schools but yet they will still go and vote on the same party again and again 😂😂😂😱😠 I agree, this behaviour should be severely punished but I also want to state the following. Where does these pupils learn such behaviour. In every strike or disagreement with state or organizations people burn, distroy and toi-toi. Children learn by example. They think it's OK.
