South Africa Headlines News

Gunshots were fired and shops and minibus taxis set alight, causing pandemonium on Durban Road in Korsten on Wednesday afternoon.

The woman, who did not want to be named for fear of her safety, said moments after the accident happened the two men got into a verbal altercation which led to a fist-fight.

“They started arguing. She alleged that one of the men, a Somali, pulled out a gun and shot the other man, presumed by onlookers to be a taxi driver. “There was a shoot-out. People started to set the Somali shops in Durban Road alight and in turn they started burning the taxis.”Ward 11 councillor Abraham Isaacs said it was not clear at this stage what had happened.

Police spokesperson Col Priscilla Naidu confirmed that the police were on the scene and trying to restore calm.

Just another day in lawless South Africa.

So amasomali got the vaccine from SA😅😅😅😱

Meanwhile the enbattled Premier of the province is busy with self enrichment

Our prayers are with all the affected. I ask Lord to give us WISDOM to solve this and avoid blood shed. Lower our tempers and we must see far. I pray for the best solution. Mama Makeba says don't divide us.

Indians - Somalians angazi noma niyangizwa yini bakithi

The president must send an SA army same time because you can't trust Somalian... they have bombs and dangerous weapons... I'm sure even have nuclear bombs... taxi drivers must leave this... this war is for Soldiers

Simple story - taxi driver bumps a Somalian car, taxi driver gets out of the car and starts beating taxi driver, other business owners come to the aid of Somali driver, taxi driver calls for back up leading a street brawl and damage to property. Who was to blame?

Malema invited these people to find creative ways to come here, now when they do kak he's nowhere to be seen.

Taxi drivers started it. They are now crying foul. They got their cake, time to eat it. Taxi drivers have been bullying everyone for far too long. They must go and face Boko Haran.. Leave us out of it

Ohhh dear Lord, here we go again this nonsense will never stop, at least not any time soon

The weak ANC government which allows the uncontrolled influx of illegal immigrants is to blame. Which other country has 3million illegal Zimbabweans?

Where was the SAPS? Who is responsible to maintain law and order and protect our people?

People are told to come to S.A using creative ways. Its now or never fellow S.Ans.Lets save our country. We have no other country to go to. Let us do for generations to come.Otherwise they will spit on our graves and say you saw that ANC was destroying this country what did you do?

Phakama Mashaba and save this country.Action S.A is our last hope. Those who call you names hate this country.Foreigners are a curse in this country.Ramaphosa doesn't say a word about the destruction caused by foreigners. Its a pity Action is not contesting the whole country.

Do you guys have a photo(s) of shops burning since I saw only taxis🤔 pls share with us

Foreigners are killing us in our own country and no government official is prepared to take action. Its a shame!
