The Democratic Alliance caucus in the Limpopo municipality has lambasted the decision and called for the money to be used to deliver services.The DA says the municipality is cash-strapped and can barely provide basic services to residents.

It's so sad how the media always portrays these issues... I once worked at a municipality whereby they were renting a mayoral car & spending a lot of money. In trying to reduce costs, it was agreed to buy to own by the Municipality a car...car was bought, Cllrs were up in arms
