A few foreign-owned shops were looted and destroyed on September 11 2019 in Witbank. An incident in which a store owner catches a"looter" and allegedly beats the man to the ground was caught on camera.
Looters were captured in video footage making off with various items, including audio speakers, suitcases and bicycles on Wednesday. Two other shop owners allegedly join in and beat up a second man. A police officer had to intervene and break up the scuffle.
