Cape Town is showing the province of KZN some love by helping to support the Gift of the Givers relief interventions with approximately 200 000 five-litre bottles leaving the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on Saturday.

There’s a lot that can be accomplished together. This is a sentiment that’s been highlighted countless times as South Africans do what they can to help those who have lost everything due to the devasting floods in KwaZulu-Natal.

Gift of the Givers has out the HUMAN in humanitarian work a number of times throughout the years and the organisation has been at the forefront of helping those in need during this heartbreaking time. Cape Town is showing the province of KZN some love by helping to support the NGO’s relief interventions by donating water. Approximately 200 000 five-litre bottles left the Cape Town Convention Centre on Saturday, that’s around one million litres of water for those in need., people from as near as Stellenbosch have donated bottles of water and as far as Knysna.

“It’s been a phenomenal response from people in the Western Cape, who have come out in numbers to bring bottles of water to the CTICC in the past few days. We’ve closed the doors for collections,” Ali Sablay, a spokesperson for the Gift of the Givers foundation told the publication.
