Brrr 🥶 ... That's one cold weekend coming up! ❄️

South African Weather Service forecaster Thandiwe Gumede says a cold front is passing through the province on its way to Gauteng and other parts north of the country.

"What we have is an upper air system that's cold and upper trough. We also have a surface high that is pushing in the moisture behind that cold front. That's why it is cold and wet today.On Saturday, strong winds are forecast along our coast."Coming through from the south coast and heading towards the north coast during the cause of the day.

"For tomorrow the wind direction is a southerly to south-westerly and the speed is expected to reach gale force strength which will range between 65 km per hour going up to 75 km per hour."Those planning to head to the Drakensberg will need to pack extra warm clothes as there's snowfall. The N3 Toll Concession has warned road users of reduced visibility and icy conditions between Van Reenen and Harrismith in the Free State because of snow and wet weather.
