Vantage applied for leave to appeal after Mbombela High Court Judge President Francis Legodi ruled on May 31 that business rescue practitioners of Lily and Barbrook mines, Rob Devereux and Daniel Terblanche, were wrong when they unilaterally decided against publishing the business plans by Arqomanzi Ltd, which had offered R250 million for the mines in Louisville near Barberton.
Instead Devereux and Terblanche published plans of Australian company, Macquarie Metals, which bought 98% of Vantage.
