The union says criminals are aware of internal challenges faced by many police stations which include understaffing.

JOHANNESBURG - The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union has expressed anger over an attack at Badplaas Police Station. They managed to get away with an R-5 rifle and some cash.Union spokesperson, Richard Mamabolo says criminals are aware of internal challenges faced by many police stations which include understaffing.

"Criminals would have better information because they do their own research and they know that with the capacity of five people working at a police stastion at night the its easy to overcome them and obviously take their firearms. "These firearms are likely to be used in robberies which would increase the levels of crime during this time," said Mamabolo.Source
