At least 264 people have been killed and over 1,200 wounded in weeks of fighting on the outskirts of Libya's capital, the World Health Organization said Tuesday

Fighting in Tripoli's southern suburbs has so far displaced at least 35,000 people, UN humanitarian coordinator for Libya Maria do Valle Ribeiro said Monday.

The two sides have reached a near stalemate since armed groups backing the GNA launched their counter-attack on Saturday. The International Organization for Migration's Libya office voiced concern Tuesday over"unacceptable and extremely worrying developments" at a detention centre for migrants in Qasr ben-Ghachir.

South Africa still waiting on post-apartheid promisesThe polls will be a severe test for the African National Congress which has held power virtually unchallenged in post-apartheid South Africa. I don't know about you but posters like this don't garner much sympathy from me. My reading this is that the coloured community would have been happy/unbothered by black oppression if only they were considered 'White'... It is a stupid way to address the previously oppressed Go vote for change and stop complaining
