UN chief condemns deadly paramilitary attack in Sudan, urges for peace

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres delivers a special address on climate action at the American Museum of Natural History in New York on World Environment Day, 5 June 2024.

The Rapid Support Forces , which have been at war with the regular army since April 2023, on Wednesday attacked the central village of Wad al-Noura in al-Jazira state with heavy artillery, pro-democracy group Madani Resistance Committee said.
