So if a UCT degree is a ticket to employment, what is the use of the numerous other public universities in SA?

The careers service at the university’s Centre for Higher Education and Development said the results of its survey were supported by the Quacquarelli Symonds graduate employability rankings, which put UCT top in Africa and 18th in the world.

Just over 23% of students were earning between R20,000 and R30,000, 16.14% between R15,001 and R20,000, and 5.21% between R5,001 and R7 000. Health sciences was the best faculty for graduate employability, with 70% of all medical students in jobs. Second was law . 11% of 2018 graduates were still seeking work.

Le reng na?

Well, not everybody can get into UCT. That’s why there are other universities. Not everybody lives in Cape Town. Not everybody want to, or can afford accommodation, need to stay at home with family.

the caption is very misleading

BS, the damage caused by the liberal left is irreparable under the current circumstances, degrees are useless

UCT is well disciplined. Employers consider that.

Unfortunately this is true, as a young graduate I struggled to even get interviews because I did not study at UCT or Stellies. Fast forward 11 years later the impediment of the institution from which I got my degree from does not exist. 😏

Yhuuu hha ah... You have stopped thinking at all. You have lost all sense

Fill up the space i guess 😂, Ignorant journalism

Remember even in an evenly leveled field players will perform differently as some will be naturally highly gifted in terms of talents and other wise so yes varsity qualities are different

UCT, UP, Wits, Stellenbosch those are like the SA ivy league unis.

I'm not a UCT graduate but I'm employed..I guess that's because they don't offer Pharmacy.

Unfortunately this is so true.

My UCT Bcom working for me fine.
