Two more sides reject Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese forward is understood to want to leave the Premier League giants in this transfer window in the hopes of finding a club that will compete for major honours and feature in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League. Finding a team that fits the bill has not been an easy task for the 37-year-old, though, which has led to the striker returning to the fold and starting matches for Erik ten Hag's side. In United's 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure throughout the 90 minutes and reportedly exchanged some angry words with assistant coach Steve McClaren after refusing to go over to fans to thank them for their support when the match was over.

Where he would go to next if that does happen is a mystery, however, as another two clubs have seemingly pulled themselves out of the running for his signature. According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, the veteran was offered to both AC Milan and Inter Milan but they have turned down the opportunity to sign him.Inter currently have four recognised strikers in Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Eddie Salcedo and Edin Dzeko, while the reigning Serie A champs AC Milan have striking options in Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud, Divock Origi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
