Twitter sneakily stops enforcing its COVID-19 misinformation policy

As the global community faces the COVID-19 pandemic together, Twitter is helping people find reliable information, connect with others, and follow what’s happening in real-time.

This is concerning given that there was no official announcement regarding the change in policy, especially as Twitter was lauded for creating it in the first place and implementing it in January of 2020, during the peak of the pandemic when COVID-19 misinformation was rife on social media.

Twitter says it stopped policing Covid-19 misinformation under MuskTwitter Inc. said it ended a policy designed to suppress false or misleading information about Covid-19, part of Elon Musk’s polarizing mission to remake the social network as a place for unmoderated speech. Not quite the point. Allowing free flow of opinions within the confines of the law. Who said that information was false or misleading How many people are suddenly dying How many times did the media surpress information and those voices that shouted out about vaccine related deaths But the vaccine people have been spreading misinformation. First, they said their vaccines prevented the spread of Covid-19. Then, it prevented hospitalization. And later, it reduced the chances of people dying of Covid-19.
