Gauteng is closing in on Western Cape Covid-19 infection figures with the death toll nationally exceeding 3,199.

Health officials are bracing themselves for a busy time as a Covid-19 testing and screening station was opened at the Sunnypark mall in Sunnyside on Monday.

“Enhanced health and safety measures including enhanced cleaning procedures, hand sanitising and social distancing are in place at the facility,” said Mafani. Ngebulana said the screenings would benefit various communities in Pretoria and surrounding areas, especially those identified as virus hotspots and densely populated, thus posing a health risk.
