Trucks petrol bombed on N3, motorists urged to avoid night travel

N3TC commercial manager Con Roux said in a statement that in light of recent disruptive protests, incidents of criminality and attempts to obstruct the free flow of traffic on some of the country’s major transport networks, including the N3 toll route, motorists should avoid night-time travel.“Disruptive actions by protesters, mostly aimed at the trucking industry, are often opportunistic and unpredictable and mostly occur under the cover of darkness.

The driver, who was seriously burnt, had to flee for his life and in the process had a petrol bomb thrown at him.

This is becoming like a war zone. Police must start wrestling control from this hooligans or rather use the army. N3 is the economic life blood not only of the country but the rest of the SADC region.

Driving after dark is dangerous in every road lately.

Bring in the Army this is ridiculous this is a guerrila war

Should the same incident be happening again at the same stretch of the road? Please somebody, arrest these thug's.

Deploy Police/SANDF. Shoot to kill arsonists. Zero tolerance of criminal acts would start realising some election promises.
