City's winless run extended to ten matches after a second-half brace by Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa. "It was just us on the ball, we didn't commit more in attack with two strikers like we have hoped, we didn't really create many chances but I was quite happy with the team's performance in the first-half, we managed to keep nil-nil and obviously frustrate a quality team like Pirates.

"But ja, second-half not as great as the first-half in terms of how we contained them but the quality they possess, two opportunities, two goals, so congratulations to them."
