This is what the government says it has done to combat load-shedding: The presidency today released an update on interventions President Cyril Ramaphosa promised six months ago to undertake to combat load-shedding.

On its website on Saturday, the presidency said: “In his address to the nation on July 25 2022, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a bold set of actions to address load-shedding and achieve energy security. The National Energy Crisis Committee has since been established to oversee the implementation of five key interventions:• Enable and accelerate private investment in generation capacity.• Unleash businesses and households to invest in rooftop solar.

• The pipeline of private-sector embedded generation projects has grown to more than 100 projects, with total capacity of more than 9,000MW. • Eskom has launched a standard offer programme to purchase up to 1,000MW of power from companies that have existing generation capacity for three years, as well as an emergency generation programme to purchase additional power when the grid is constrained.

Thabo Mbeki, Jacob Zuma, Cyril Ramaphosa: The people who killed Eskom over 25 yearsThabo Mbeki, Jacob Zuma, Cyril Ramaphosa: The people who killed Eskom over 25 years: In 1997, the warning bells were ringing that South Africa faced a dark future because Eskom would run out of capacity to supply a growing populace and an expanding economy Might as well call out the political leaders who know our resources are strained and still advocate for open borders (let everyone come). I mean, you'd think this basic concept would be understood by someone who claims to be able to lead the country. And who was the president in 1997 ? same dishonest narrative as arms-deal's , there's a president who's never mentioned because it's never fashionable . Time2Coach What you are conveniently forgetting is that HESPTM was unceremoniously removed from a dynamic and operational system by a defective KZN HIGH COURT decision. So blaming people selectively is disingenuous.
