The 93-year-old monarch shrewdly twists her Welsh gold wedding ring, given to her by her husband Prince Philip, as a signal to her aids when she needs to be rescued from a boring conversation,According to Hugo Vickers, a royal historian, the queen also moves her handbag from one side to the other if she wants a conversation to end swiftly – which isn’t as intense as twisting her wedding band.
