Tesla is close to introducing its advanced assisted driving features in China by partnering with Baidu in mapping and navigations functions, according to people familiar with the matter.

Tesla Inc. is set to clear a key hurdle to introduce its advanced assisted driving features in China by partnering with Baidu Inc. in mapping and navigation functions, people familiar with the matter said.

While the suite of features requires constant supervision and doesn’t make Teslas autonomous, the company in the US charges $8,000 to buy full self-driving outright or $99 a month for a subscription.
