Percy Tau's Al Ahly were crowned Egyptian Cup champions after a late 2-0 win over arch-rivals Zamalek on Friday evening. The Red Devils made four changes to the side that edged Young Africans in the CAF Champions League final group game, as Mohamed Hany, Karim Nedved, Kahraba and Emam Ashour were recalled while Tau was retained.
Zamalek had an early chance to go ahead after Zizo curled a low shot towards the bottom corner but goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir made a stunning save. The White Knights made an attacking change at half-time as Shikabala replaced Zizo and with the score still deadlocked on 73 minutes, Marcel Koller made a tactical and defensive change, as he brought on defender Omar Kamal in place of attacker Tau.
