Swallows FC coach Dylan Kerr believes the standard of football in the PSL has been affected by the empty stadium as he join call for the return of fans.
South African football fans have raised their frustrations over the covid regulations which doesn't allow them to attend live PSL games despite the recent decline of numbers and more people are getting vaccinated. With some supporters were in a picket strike on Thursday to raise their grievances to Government in Pretoria, Kerr also join the call of the return of the fans to the Stadium as he feels without spectators, players fail to deliver.
"At the end of the day the PSL and DSTV have provided service for fans to watch but at the end of the day, as a coach you guys would agree, football is not football without fans" - Kerr tells media in Durban during DSTV compact briefing. "We can see in Europe and African Cup of nations, there's fans there, yes we gotta listen to the guidelines and listen to the President but i think we've passed the worst stages and it's time fans come back to the stadium.
"Because players they miss it, they miss their motivaters, they are the one that playing and without that support, it very difficult to play and hence they don't perform well and i hope Minister of Sport and Government sees that, can see what other countries are doing"
Inst8 of being grateful of absence of fans he's asking for empty bottles thrown to the technical teams benches by disgruntled fans
He's right.
