Swallows coach Dylan Kerr reveals how missed out on Pirates Eva Nga

As both clubs prepare for Saturday’s Soweto Derby, Swallows coach Dylan Kerr has revealed how missed out on signing new Orlando Pirates striker Eva NgaEva Nga has been in stellar form for Orlando Pirates in the build-up to the season. He scored four goals in the three friendlies the Buccaneers have played so far.international finished third in the race for last season’s top goal scorer award with 10 goals, only behind Victor Letsoalo and Peter Shalulile.

"When Wits got sold he’s [Eva Nga] a player I wanted to sign. It was a no-brainer for me," Kerr tells"He’s a big strong lad, he’s got pace and power and has the ability to get loads of goals. He hasn’t set the league alight [yet], which I believe he can. Unfortunately, we missed out on him."Asked if he’s worried about the striker going into the clash against Pirates on Saturday, Kerr said his side is fully focused on their own preparations.

Swallows have spent the week putting in the final preparations ahead of Saturday’s clash against Pirates. Both sides have brought in new recruits to strengthen their respective squads.
