This afternoon's SuperRugyUnlocked clash between the LionsRugbyCo and CheetahsRugby has been called off after two players from the Johannesburg-based franchise tested positive for Covid19. | IOLsport

CAPE TOWN – Saturday afternoon’s Super Rugby Unlocked game between the Lions and Cheetahs at Ellis Park has been called off after two personnel from the Johannesburg-based franchise tested positive for Covid-19.

“The cancellation was triggered on Saturday morning following the receipt of results from a second batch of tests on Lions senior squad playing and coaching personnel, which revealed two further positive cases,” the statement read SA Rugby went on to add that the two players who tested positive were in isolation, were in good health and were being monitored by doctors.
