The District Task Team followed the information shared and went to the first homestead where a 32-year-old suspect was tactically approached and on searching a 9mm pistol with ammunition was recovered. He was arrested and charged for unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. They proceeded to the second homestead where a 43 year old suspect was arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed BXP – submachine gun with more than thirty ammunition.

Both suspects from Ngcingane locality were arrested and are appearing at Mthatha Magistrate Court soon.
